child roots: a rebrand
Child Roots is a childcare company for children ages six weeks to six years in Portland, Oregon. Child Roots works to spark innovation and curiosity in children and instill long-lasting values that have a positive impact on the community and the world around them. Child Roots is a great company with a great underlying message, but the name ‘Child Roots’ doesn’t quite highlight what all they offer. Stemming from the word, growth, I came up with Sprouts. It is short, simple, and to the point. Not only is sustainability and a healthy connotation created from it, but so is that playful child-like quality. The two leaves at the top of the ‘t’ represent the growth the company instills in children. It also serves as a playful indicator of what the company does.
The light green represents the company’s commitment to sustainability and promoting growth in children. The coral serves as a pop of color that shows the fun creative side of the company and represents the kids.
I chose Child Roots for my rebrand because I have a particular interest in child education and saw how much the company had to offer. I believe Child Roots has a lot of potential and I would love to play a role in helping it grow. This rebrand is the vision I see for the company from immersing myself into the company’s values over the course of ten weeks. Every detail was taken into deep consideration and was specifically chosen with Child Roots in mind.
